Date Jar Re-Decoration

I changed the date jar a little bit, and I am very proud of the results! I puff painted the words and the heart on the clear glass circle! It is very cute. for a link to see the original date jar before updates click here.

  1. Hi there, I know this was absolutely AGES ago but I saw this on Pinterest and followed the link through...Can I ask what method you used to paint the jar? Might sound like a weird question but I've seen all sorts! Also, did you apply any kind of finishing spray? I'd like to create a similar jar and love yours!
I followed your links and seen you used acrylic paint :-)
A swift reply would be much appreciated, all these great ideas seem to come at the last minute at the moment :-(

    Thanks again!!!

    1. I painted the jar with white acrylic paint and let it dry (probably an hour or two) before applying a second coat. When that coat dried I used a plastic spoon to scrape off the acrylic paint to make the circle (I am sure there is a better way to do this, but I was being impulsive). Finally I outlined the circle with white puffy paint and wrote "Date Jar" in the same white puffy paint. I also applied Valentine's stickers! I hope I got back to you in enough time!

    2. Great! Thank you so much :)
I wasn't sure if maybe you rolled the jar in paint, sprayed the jar...I've definitely seen a few options out there.

Again thank you very much for replying, especially since you posted this so long ago.
I'm in the UK which is why the timestamps look a bit weird!

      Have a good day xx
